About Us
AZE Badminton Academy was founded with a simple belief: every player deserves the opportunity to develop their badminton potential through structured training, quality coaching, and the right environment.
From grassroots beginners taking their first steps on court to competitive players striving for their next breakthrough, our programmes are designed to provide a clear and progressive development pathway. Each session combines purposeful drills, technical development, physical conditioning, and match-based training—while keeping the experience engaging, positive, and enjoyable.
Our coaching philosophy is built around consistency, discipline, and long-term development. We believe that meaningful improvement comes not from short-term intensity, but from showing up, trusting the process, and building the right habits over time.
AZE is proudly co-founded and led by Head Coaches Jerry Ng, former Malaysian state players with extensive playing and coaching experience. His knowledge of the game and passion for player development form the foundation of AZE’s coaching standards and academy culture.
Supporting the leadership team are our co-founders, Benson Chow and Yvonne Low, who oversee the wider development of the academy. Benson, our Operations Director, focuses on business development, strategic partnerships, academy operations, and identifying opportunities to grow AZE’s coaching ecosystem. Yvonne leads AZE’s brand and social media strategy, building our connection with players, parents, and the wider badminton community.
And at the heart of AZE are our coaches who step onto court every day and bring our philosophy to life. They are the ones working directly with our players, guiding their development, building their confidence, correcting their techniques, and creating the training environment that defines the AZE experience. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our players are an essential part of what makes AZE who we are.
We believe that a strong academy is built not around one individual, but around a strong and united coaching team that shares the same standards, values, and commitment to player development. As AZE continues to grow, we remain focused on developing our coaches alongside our players and maintaining a consistent coaching experience across every programme and location.
Today, AZE continues to grow with the ambition of becoming Singapore’s leading homegrown badminton development brand, while building a coaching ecosystem that can reach players and coaches across Asia.
